CodeBooks is built by SheCodes — a global coding education platform that has taught over 250,000 women to code. This is our gift to every student who wants to build with AI.
SheCodes has been teaching women to code since 2017. With students in over 100 countries, we've seen firsthand how AI is changing the way people build software. Vibe coding — describing what you want in plain English and letting AI build it — is opening doors for people who never thought they could create technology.
We built CodeBooks as a free, comprehensive reference for our students and for anyone learning to build with AI. Every guide is written in plain English, designed for beginners, and packed with ready-to-use prompts you can paste into any AI tool.

SheCodes Founder and Instructor. Matt built CodeBooks as a free resource for SheCodes students and anyone learning to build with AI.
Matt Delac is a software engineer with 10+ years of experience who has worked with companies such as Google and Airbnb. Originally from 🇫🇷 France, he started a company in 🇺🇸 Silicon Valley with funding from Y Combinator (#1 startup accelerator worldwide), has a Masters degree in computer engineering from 🇨🇦 Canada, worked as a full-stack engineer in 🇦🇺 Australia and has taught 250,000+ students how to code (online and offline) through SheCodes. His workshop rating average is 🌟 4.9/5.
The SheDreams Foundation provides free coding education to women in developing countries. Through SheDreams, thousands of women who otherwise couldn't afford access get full scholarships to SheCodes workshops — learning the same skills, using the same tools, and building the same projects.
CodeBooks is part of that mission. Every guide on this site is completely free, forever. We believe AI-powered coding is the great equalizer — anyone with an internet connection and the right guidance can build real technology, regardless of their background or where they live.

You don't need a computer science degree. If you can describe what you want, AI can help you build it.
A woman in Lagos can build the same app as someone in San Francisco. All you need is an internet connection.
The best way to learn is to build real projects. AI handles the syntax while you learn the concepts.
Hundreds of thousands of SheCodes students are building with AI right now. You're not learning alone.
Pick a guide, copy a prompt, and paste it into your favorite AI tool. You'll have something running in minutes.
